The Client
College Project — City Branding for Warrnambool, Australia
The Ask
To design a logo and visual identity for the city of Warrnambool, located in Australia, aimed at promoting tourism and attracting investment. The goal was to reflect the town's unique heritage and natural beauty.
The Solution
The logo concept drew inspiration from the indigenous name "Warrnambool," which refers to the area's geographical features and historical significance. The design incorporated a lighthouse, symbolizing the town's coastal location and guiding presence. The visual identity was developed to appeal to international visitors and investors, featuring a modern, cohesive look.
My Part
I created the logo, designed various branded materials, including a double-sided 3-fold brochure, stationery, and advertisements. These elements were crafted to communicate the town's vibrant culture and scenic attractions, enhancing its appeal to the target audience.
Identity design
Final logo
Visual Identity
By using the green from the vegetation around the town combined with the blue ocean and clear sky, a turquoise colour merges with the red colour of the lighthouse to create appealing visuals and a modern look.
Branded Stationery
I created a brochure that could hopefully push the ideas around the city re-branding showing several applications and an improvement on the city's visual impact to attract more tourists.
Ads
The ads are a reflection of what the city has to offer with their beautiful landscapes, nature, the beach and the different activities tourists can enjoy when visiting.
