The Client
College Project — Creating a Typographic Book
The Ask
While studying graphic design in Australia, the task was to create a typographic book featuring a font of our choice. I selected Montserrat and aimed to showcase the typeface in an appealing way, incorporating the colours of the Argentine flag.
The Solution
I started with sketches for the spread design of a folded brochure, focusing on how to present Montserrat effectively. The mock-ups were designed to highlight the beauty and clarity of the typeface, using colors that pay homage to its Argentine creator.
My Part
I was responsible for the whole. project, from concept, design, and execution of the typographic book. This involved sketching initial layouts, choosing color schemes, and creating mock-ups that demonstrated the versatility and appeal of the Montserrat typeface.
The concept
The idea was to showcase the typeface in its various weights. I aimed to create a folded brochure that would be both appealing and informative.
The flat design highlights the different font weights, showcases the colours of the Argentine flag, and illustrates the beauty of the Montserrat font.
