College project — The assignment to create an editorial magazine ePub, showcasing skills in design and interactivity.
The Ask
The task was to design a digital publication on a chosen theme. I focused on the band Deftones and their album "Gore."
The Solution
The cover featured Chino Moreno with a street and grunge aesthetic. The content page honored Prince with a unique color blend effect. The layout was clean, with full-bleed images and bold, diagonal text breaks, capturing the rebellious spirit of the music.
My Part
I designed everything. The logo, manipulated images, created the layout, and ensured interactivity, optimizing the project for digital devices.
Implementation
After designing the logo cover images and other assets, it was time to start working on the layout.
Layouts
I know it was risky to add the diagonal strokes between the body copy, but since this was college assignment I wanted to simply experiment.
